A foresight practitioner and a development expert whose professional and multicultural experience across countries and regions has imbued with strategic insight and depth in the social sides of innovations and development – especially in agricultural development. Bunmi has varied work experience with international organisations such as GFAR, CTA, CIAT (and the CGIAR Climate Research Program, CCAFS), YPARD, GLF Youth Program, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Foundation and others. During this time, he has worked and lived in 4 countries, in 3 continents of the world, and has managed programmes/activities in several countries across regions. Presently, ‘Bunmi is the Foresight Lead at the Global Forum on Agricultural Research (GFAR) Secretariat – based at FAO in Rome – with focus on agricultural development foresight, future literacy and future studies, collective actions and empowering development, local and rural stakeholders to determine their own futures. In all, he has worked as a foresight expert – especially in areas of grassroots foresight, development programmes/research associate, science communications and content consultant, in agriculture and rural development futures, agricultural climate adaptation, and in ICT and youth in agriculture programmes and projects – including a few other areas.
